Semanic Solution Spotlight (15 Mins)

John Hebeler: RDF Triple Stores

John will provide an overview of triple stores to familiarize those that have no prior experience with the technology.

1.) What to consider

2.) Use cases that mandate inclusion of a triple store in your architecture

3.) The do's and don'ts of deploying a triple store.

4.) Resource pointers to open source and commercial product information.

Clark & Parsia (30 Minutes)

Mike Grove, Developer, Stardog

Clark & Parsia is a leading supplier of innovative semantic technologies, with a focus on OWL automated reasoning. C&P are the authors of Pellet, a solution for expressive reasoning and modeling with semantic data. Mike will present Stardog, the forthcoming commercial RDF database from C&P, featuring full OWL2 reasoning capabilities and fast query performance in a lightweight, pure Java implementation

BBN/Raytheon (30 Minutes)

Dave Kolas, Architect, Parliament

BBN, aquired by Ratheon in 2009, has a long history with OWL & RDF that goes back to DARPA's original DAML Projects in the early 90s. Dave will demonstrate the features of the Parliament triple store and the optimization of the Scout distributed query technology.

Time permitting we may reconvene at a local watering hole for those who chose to carry on discussions.
