AB Meta: Extensible RDFa-based format for declaring everyday things in HTML

Speaker: Alex Iskold

AB Meta is a simple, RDFa-based format for annotating pages that are about things. A book publisher can use AB Meta to provide information about a book such as the author and ISBN, a restaurant owner can provide information such as the cuisine, phone number and address and a movie reviewer can annotate reviews with movie titles and directors. The format allows site owners to describe the main thing on the HTML page using standard META headers. The AB Meta format also allows content owners to declare multiple things in each page using standard RDFa notation.

Glue: Browser addon that connects people around things they visit.

Glue is the browser addon that leverages semantic technologies to automatically connect people around things they visit online. Glue works automatically as you browse popular sites about books, music, movies, wines, restaurants, gadgets, stocks, actors, tv shows and other everyday things around the web. The Glue bar appears right on your current page to show you friends who looked at the same things and what they thought.
