Financial Services is far more than just about the numbers. Natural Language Processing (NLP) and the Semantic Web play an increasingly important role in finding, understanding and reporting on adverse events, untangling complicated prospectus documents, and deciphering required SEC filings. This session will highlight the power of developing Semantic Web NLP applications using COGITO – the development environment from Expert System (http://www.expertsystem.net/) and the resulting applications in financial services from Recognos Financial – a New York based Semantic Technologies firm serving the financial capital of the world.

We have scheduled this event as part of Internet Week NY 2010 (http://www.internetweekny.com)
